It’s not often a change on defense makes an offense better, but that’s what has happened for the Merrimack High School football team.

The Tomahawks went into their game against Bishop Guertin on Oct. 5 with the plan to play senior quarterback James Dowling a little more on defense and get sophomore backup Kyle Crampton a few more opportunities on offense.
