When the teams met a second time, Winnacunnet made sure it wasn’t going to be put in the same position again.
After forcing Goffstown to three-and-out, the Warriors went on a 10-play, 66-yard drive that took up almost five minutes of the first quarter and ended with a 1-yard touchdown run by Patrick MacDougall. Winnacunnet was able to hold that lead the rest of the way in a 21-6 win in Saturday’s Division I semifinals, and the No. 1 Warriors (11-0) will face No. 3 Pinketon (10-1) for the championship.
