Seeing there were only a few seconds left before halftime in Wednesday’s Division III girls basketball semifinal, the Fall Mountain Regional High School senior pulled up to try to beat the buzzer and she did.
Grillone’s buzzer-beating 3-pointer from near midcourt gave the top-seeded Wildcats an eight-point lead at halftime and Fall Mountain rolled in the second half to a 45-25 win over No. 4 Prospect Mountain in the D3 final four at Bow High School.
