NASHUA – Erin Carney thought that if the Bishop Guertin High School girls basketball team could get off to a good start Friday night, it might take Bedford out of its game long enough to let the Cardinals get an early lead.
In the first four-plus minutes, things couldn’t have gone much better for Bishop Guertin.
The Cardinals opened the game with a 17-2 run, including two 3-pointers by Carney, and forced a dozen Bedford turnovers in the first quarter, as Bishop Guertin cruised to a 58-26 win over the Bulldogs in a Division I game in Nashua.
