Here are the finalists for the sixth Queen of New Hampshire High School Basketball.
Here are the finalists for the sixth Queen of New Hampshire High School Basketball. All are worthy candidates for the crown, but only one will win. That winner will be announced back here on Tuesday morning.
Voting was done by members of the New Hampshire high school sports media. All voters selected six players, placing them in order with No. 1 being the choice for player of the year. All players who received votes will be listed with Tuesday’s winner.
The six finalists are, in alphabetical order.
Meghan Cramb, sr., Bishop Guertin
The Division I Player of the Year, Cramb helped lead the Cardinals to a 40-2 record over the last two years and two straight division championships. Will play at Assumption College next season.
Ashlee Dukette, so., Newfound
Dukette was named the Division III Player of the Year as a sophomore, helping the Bears to an undefeated regular season and an appearance in the D3 final four.
Katie Frederick, sr., Sunapee
Frederick capped off her high school career by leading the Lakers to their third straight Division IV title and a 72-game winning streak. Frederick was also named the D4 Player of the Year.
Cassandra Stapelfeld, sr., Hollis Brookline
Stapelfeld finished her four-year varsity career with over 1,000 points and the Cavaliers’ second-leading scorer all-time. The senior was named to the Division II all-state first team and led HB to the division title game.
Libby Underwood, sr., Portsmouth
The two-time Division II Player of the Year, Underwood helped lead the Clippers to a 39-3 record over the last two years and two final four appearances. Will play at William & Mary College next year.
Joslin Wainwright, sr., Lebanon
A member of the Division II all-state first team, Wainwright helped lead the Raiders to the division championship as a senior.
