It may be just the first week of the spring season, but there are some big matchups on the schedule to start the season.

Here’s a look at five games with interesting story lines in the opening few days of the season.

  • Bishop Guertin at Bedford, 4 p.m. on Monday: This has become a big rivalry between the schools in a very short amount of time. This was the Bulldogs’ first game in Division I a year ago.
  • Hollis Brookline at Souhegan, 4 p.m. on Monday: Two rivals who should be challengers in Division II this season meet in Amherst to open the season.
  • Exeter at Nashua North, 7 p.m. on Monday at Holman Stadium: A rematch of last year’s quarterfinal game, won by Exeter 5-1. The Blue Hawks were a surprise last year, winning Division I as the 11th seed, and they get an early test in what should once again be a solid North team.
  • Trinity at Concord, 4 p.m. on Monday: The first start of the season for Trinity’s Carmen Giampetruzzi, who is heading to Boston College to pitch next season.
  • Sanborn at Hollis Brookline, 4 p.m. on Wednesday: Another rematch from last year’s postseason, the Cavaliers were upset by the Indians in the Division II quarterfinals. HB will be out for revenge in the first of two meetings between the teams this season.
