Here are five games on the schedule for Thursday to keep an eye on.
- Girls Lacrosse: Souhegan (3-1) at Notre Dame (Hingham, Mass.), 5:45 p.m. One of two games for the Sabers against tough opponents south of the boarder. Notre Dame (7-0) is the No. 1 ranked team in Massachusetts by LawPower.com.
- Girls Lacrosse: Winnacunnet (3-0) at Hanover (0-0), 5:30 p.m. The Marauders, one of the favorites in Division II, open their season with a Warriors team that’s looking to contend in the division.
- Softball: Milford (2-1) at Souhegan (2-1), 4 p.m. Originally scheduled for Wednesday, the teams will play in Amherst Thursday afternoon. The game is the first for Milford coach Jim Rines against the team he coached for several years, and the player he won a championship with in 2003, Souhegan coach Andrea Bruneau.
- Boys Lacrosse: Goffstown (0-1) at Merrimack (2-2), 4 p.m. The Grizzlies will be looking to bounce back from Monday’s season-opening loss, while the Tomahawks will be looking for what would be a big win in the young season.
- Baseball: Canaan-Pittsburg (0-0) at Profile (0-0), 4 p.m. The season opener for both Division IV teams, meaning that Hanover – which isn’t scheduled to play until April 28 at ConVal – would be the only baseball team in the state yet to play.
