MANCHESTER – Seven players scored a touchdown Friday night for the Manchester West High School football team, as the Blue Knights rolled to a 49-0 win over Pembroke Academy.

Manny Mendoza had one of those on a 1-yard run while also completing 7 of 10 passes for 140 yards and three touchdowns for West (1-0 in Division II). Kingston Greene had 85 yards rushing, a touchdown and two two-point conversions and Liam King ran for 47 yards and a score.

Myles Whiter (96 total yards), Rayvon Nelson (86) and Elias Abreu (18) each caught a touchdown pass from Mendoza. Laquan Williams also ran for a score in the fourth quarter.

Jarome Henert led the defense with seven tackles (two for loss) and two forced fumbles. Joell Camilo had six tackles (two for loss) and recovered a fumble while Tyler Hale also recovered a fumble and had two tackles.

The Blue Knights put up 392 yards of offense and the defense held the Spartans (0-1) to just 32 yards in the first half.

Pelham 41, Bow 8 

Ben Maslanek and Luke Draper each scored two touchdowns to lead the Pythons to a season-opening win over the Falcons on Friday.

Maslanek ran for 88 yards to go with his two scores while Draper had 134 yards from scrimmage, including 86 rushing. Brady Williams caught three passes for 88 yards and a score and also ran for 78 yards and Jacob Chafe caught two passes for 25 yards while Kevin Hardy was 6 of 12 passing for 137 yards and a touchdown.

Patrick Muise had six tackles (two for loss) and Nick Landry added five tackles (three for loss) while Stephen Pare had a sack and forced a fumble for the Pelham (1-0) defense.

ConVal 21, Kennett 20 (OT)

Kurt Dean, Jr., scored from 5 yards out in overtime and Spencer Bishop kicked three extra points, including in overtime, to give the Cougars a win over the Eagles.

Dean passed for 91 yards and a score, connecting with Max Erickson for a 25-yard score. Erickson had 71 receiving yards before leaving in the third quarter with an injury.

Wetu Selby ran for 59 yards, including a 25-yard touchdown run, and Henry Hartwell added 75 yards rushing and had 12 tackles on defense.

Division I

No. 3 Nashua South 35, Malden (Mass.) Catholic 25

Cody Jackson had 269 yards of offense to help lead the Panthers to an out-of-state road win over the Lancers on Friday.

Jackson was 18 of 24 passing for 210 yards and three touchdowns and added 58 yards on the ground. Josh Tripp caught seven passes for 86 yards, including two of those touchdowns, and had an interception on defense.

Justin Fish also had five catches for 97 yards and a touchdown and Sam Levine ran for 70 yards and a touchdown. Bruno Goncalves added 38 yards on the ground and a score and Colvin Levesque had 26 total yards.

Preston Bois added a 23-yard field goal for South (1-0, No. 3 in the New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center/NHHSSports Coaches Poll).

No. 1 Bedford 48, Merrimack 20

Brody Helton and Bennett Matthews combined to rush for 350 of the Bulldogs’ 394 yards and six touchdowns Friday against the Tomahawks.

Helton had 189 yards and four scores on 11 carries and Matthews added 161 yards and two touchdowns on 13 attempts while also completing 6 of 13 passes for 85 yards and a touchdown.

Brycen D’Urso caught two passes for 49 yards and a score and forced a fumble on defense.

No. 5 Exeter 24, Timberlane 20

Matt Corzatt capped a nine-play, 91-yard drive with a 5-yard touchdown run with 48.3 seconds left to give the Blue Hawks the win over the Owls.

Corzatt finished with 170 yards on 18 carries while Cole Kelley had a 2-yard touchdown run and Will Tobin caught a 17-yard touchdown pass from Tyler Ream. Conor Bishop added a 29-yard field goal for Exeter (1-0).

Timberlane (0-1) went in front on two third-quarter touchdowns, as Giovanni Recesso ran in from 4 yards out with 6:07 left in the quarter and Adrian Carrasquillo added a 21-yard run with 1:21 to go until the fourth.

Matt Fitzgerald connected with Michael Santosuosso on a 14-yard touchdown in the first quarter for the Owls’ other score.

No. 9 Manchester Memorial 14, Central (R.I.) 13

The Crusaders defense recorded six sacks and had an interception in a win over the Knights, from Providence.

Joel Gomez scored on a 21-yard touchdown reception and Jathyen Torres added an 18-yard scoring run for Memorial (1-0).

Portsmouth-Oyster River 35, Dover 0

Andy Brown accounted for three touchdowns to help lead the ClipperCats to a win over the Green Wave.

Brown was 10 of 14 passing for 167 yards and two touchdowns and added a 2-yard touchdown run. Demetrius Tsakiris also had 80 yards rushing and two scores for POR (1-0).

Micah Gedney had three catches for 87 yards, 57 on a third-quarter touchdown, and Kevin White had four catches for 62 yards and a touchdown.

Nashua North 31, Manchester Central 7

The Titans scored 31 unanswered points to open the season with a win over the Little Green.

Jedwin Lluveres had three touchdown runs of 6, 1 and 18 yards and Kobe Perry also had a rushing score for North (1-0). Marco Raposo added a 25-yard field goal with 8:51 in the second quarter to get the Titans on the board.

Central (0-1) scored on the game’s first drive on a 53-yard touchdown pass from Drake Jaimes to Romello Diaz.

Division III

Campbell 24, Laconia 6

The Cougars scored three touchdowns in the second half to come from behind and beat the Sachems Friday night.

Braydon White had touchdown runs of 52 and 18 yards, respectively, in the third quarter while Bronson Leduc caught a 19-yard touchdown from Michael Grace on fourth-and-goal with 7:54 left to put the game away for Campbell (1-0).

Laconia (0-1) took a 6-0 lead right before half when Carter Jones connected with Sean O’Sullivan for a 21-yard score with 23 seconds to go until the break.

Inter-Lakes/Moultonborough 28, Kearsarge 13

The Lakers got two touchdown passes from Kiernan Donnelly to get a win Saturday morning against the Cougars.

Jackson Downs caught a 20-yard scoring toss from Donnelly with 6:42 left in the first quarter and the sophomore found Jackson Browne for a 19-yard score in the third quarter. Mekhi Hackett and Finn McIntosh each had rushing touchdowns for ILM (1-0).

Aidan Ruckman scored two touchdown for Kearsarge (0-1).
