Football Roundup: Nashua North comes back to beat Merrimack

AMHERST – Luke Peters scored three touchdowns and the Nashua High School North football team rallied for a 31-21 win Saturday over Merrimack in a game played at Souhegan High School.

Peters had a rushing touchdown and returned a punt and a kickoff for a score for the Titans (2-6), who have finished their Division I schedule and wrap up the season on Nov. 2 at Canisius High School in Buffalo.

Darius Smith also had a rushing touchdown for North and Marco Raposo kicked a field goal.

Merrimack (2-5) will try to keep its playoff hopes alive against Bishop Guertin on Nov. 1.

No. 8 Alvirne 41, Keene 12

The Broncos got out to a 34-0 lead in the first half and rolled to a win over the Blackbirds.

Mike Landmesser had 110 yards and two touchdowns on the ground and Shawn Boudreau and Shayne Mackey each blocked a punt and returned it for a touchdown. Ryan Rocheleau added 45 yards receiving and a touchdown for Alvirne (6-2).

Brody Orr and Angel Kangar each had an interception on defense.
