HUDSON – James Caruso ran for 99 yards and a touchdown to help lead the Pinkerton Academy football team to a 30-17 win Friday night over Alvirne.

Jamie Isaac (48 yards rushing) and Joseph Osanya (32) also had rushing touchdowns for the Astros (6-2 in Division I, 7-2 overall) while Ryson Michaud returned the opening kickoff of the second half 98 yards for a touchdown.

Caruso, who usually plays tight end, stepped in at running back for Pinkerton after injuries to Isaac and Ben Quintiliani left the team short on ball carriers. The Astros are also still without running back Matt Morrison.
