Football Roundup: Windham blanks Salem for 2nd shutout in a row (video)
Here are results from this weekend’s high school football action.
SALEM – Michael Brearley ran for 92 yards and a touchdown to help lead the Windham High School football team to a 17-0 win Saturday against Salem.
Adrian Bergman added 76 yards on the ground and was 6 of 13 passing for 91 yards, including a 38-yard touchdown pass to Alexander Blanco. Both touchdowns came in the first half and Christopher Guarnaccia kicked a 30-yard field on the Jaguars (3-1 in Division I, 3-2 overall) on opening drive of the second half.
For the second week in a row, Windham’s defense didn’t allow a point, with Rob Durkin leading the way with eight tackles, including five sacks of Salem quarterback Van Mason. Sam Roidoulis added six tackles, including one sack.
The Blue Devils (2-3, No. 7 in the New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center/NHHSSports Coaches Poll) got 68 yards rushing from Jacob Beaudry while Jordan Zannini caught six passes for 42 yards. Mason was 8 of 15 passing for 76 yards, but was sacked six times.
No. 4 Nashua South 49, Keene 7
Sam Levine ran for 113 yards and three touchdowns on 14 carries to help lead the Panthers to the win over the Blackbirds.
Cody Jackson added 70 yards and a score on the ground and was 9 of 12 passing for 175 yards a touchdown. Josh Tripp caught the scoring pass, part of a five-catch, 114-yard performance, and the senior also had 19 yards rushing and a score.
Bruno Goncalves scored on an 8-yard touchdown run for South (3-1, 4-1) and Justin Fish caught three passes for 44 yards.
Colin Tinnin scored for Keene (1-4) on a 4-yard run in the third quarter and finished 60 yards on the ground while also going 4 of 5 passing for 17 yards. Grady Erickson added 24 yards rushing and Jack Gillard had 20.
Timberlane 17, Dover 14
Ryan Sigillo kicked a 28-yard field goal with just under five minutes remaining to give the Owls the win over the Green Wave.
Tucker Kerem added 104 yards rushing and a touchdown on 12 carries and Matthew Fitzgerald connected with Kaden Linehan for a 66-yard touchdown. Fitzgerald was 5 of 13 passing for 107 yards and Linehan caught two passes for 75 yards.
Gio Recesso also ran for 52 yards on six carries for Timberlane (2-3).

The Wildcats were shutout by the Lakers despite getting a solid performance from Max Wyman, as he was 6 of 9 passing for 84 yards and ran for another 14 yards.
Landon Ebelt added 29 yards rushing and Gabriel Schiavoni had 28 on the ground.
