Girls Lacrosse Roundup: Bedford rolls to win over Merrimack (video)

BEDFORD – Eloise Montagano scored six goals Tuesday to help lead the Bedford High School girls lacrosse team to a 16-6 win over Merrimack.

Carly Hodgdon-Rogers added two goals and three assists and Paige Gibson had three goals for the Bulldogs (8-7 in Division I, No. 9 in the New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center/NHHSSports Coaches Poll), who went on an 8-0 run to end the first half with a 9-1 lead.

Mary Lenti (one assist) and Liza Montagano chipped in with two goals apiece and Molly Muir also scored. Irene Tsai recorded three saves.

Jackie Hayes and Ava Woods had two goals apiece for the Tomahawks (8-5 in D2) while Lyla Carls (one assist) and Riley Taylor each had a goal. Sophia Richard finished with six saves.

No. 4 Exeter 14, No. 6 Bishop Guertin 6

Riley Benevides scord four goals to help lead the Blue Hawks to a road win over the Cardinals in their regular-season finale.

Phoebe Christenson and Racquel Battle had three goals and an assist apiece for Exeter (12-6) while Claire Wilhelm also had three goals. Kelsey Hayward chipped in with a goal and Molly Byrne made six saves.

St. Thomas 18, Laconia 12

Talula Gregg scored five goals and Julia Bryan added four scores to lead the Saints past the Sachems.

Charlotte De Tolla also scored three times and Annita Parmelee had two goals for St. Thomas (13-2). Lucy Broom, Ava Goodwin, Lizzy Holden and Sophia Kelly added a goal apiece.

Cara Forest and Lena Shaheen played well defensively and Reese Foss finished with seven saves.

No. 8 Timberlane 20, Manchester Memorial 2

Lila Fitzgerald scored four goals and had two assists to help lead the Owls past the Crusaders.

Julia Johnson added three goals, an assist and two caused turnovers while Rylee Donahue had two goals, including the 100th of her career, to go with seven draw controls for Timberlane (14-1).

Aubrey Fitzgerald and Ava Paul had two goals and an assist apiece and Kasey Fitzgerald and Grace Gerhard each scored a pair of goals. Alexa Ring (two draw controls) and Mia Morrier also had a goal apiece and Mackenzie Norcott played well.

Trinity 19, Campbell 10

Addison Moynihan scored 10 goals to help the Pioneers finish their regular season with a win over the Cougars.

Sammy Raymond added six goals for Trinity (10-4) while Brooklin Gallant, Sophia Houde and Mia Wheeler added a goal apiece.

John Stark 13, Plymouth 6

Zoe Lawson had six goals as the Generals got the win over the Bobcats.

Claudia Dustin added four goals and two assists for John Stark (11-3) while Addie DeCew had two goals and an assist and Addy Brunini also scored.

Derryfield 24, Kearsarge 6

Kaelan Finnegan scored three goals for the Cougars but they came up short against the Cougars.

Katie Walkinshaw also had two goals for Kearsarge (5-8).

Kennett 12, Goffstown 9

Sydney Lavoie had three goals and three assist for the Grizzlies but they fell on the road to the Eagles.

Trinity Lunn and Paige Winters added two goals apiece and Ella Coletti dished out three assists for Goffstown (8-4). Mia Brisette had a goal, an assist and 11 draw controls while Stella Enman also scored.

Lavoie added three caused turnovers and Jenna Shannon added two caused turnovers.

Bishop Brady 12, Belmont 8

Brooke Varnum had four goals to lead the Red Raiders but it wasn’t enough against the Giants.

Brooke Murphy added three goals for Belmont (2-11) and Madi McClennan also had a goal, as the Red Raiders ended up playing without subs due to injury.

Shelby Mason made 23 saves while Reese Paquette, Kira Perry, Grace Collins and Augusta Provencale played well defensively.

Bow 10, Coe-Brown 8

The Bears wrapped up their regular season with a loss on the road to the Falcons.

Avery Keefe had two goals and three assists while Ellie Escabi and Addison Roy each scored twice for Coe-Brown (10-4). Rose Bean and Maggie Cardillo also had a goal apiece and Brooke Kozlowski and Morgan Readel had assists.

Ady Moynihan, Breanne Peters and Makenzie Silva played well defensively for the Bears.

Bow (13-1) got five goals and an assist from Vita Flagg while Jules Cusson had two goals and an assist.
