Girls Lacrosse Roundup: Big second quarter helps lift Hanover past Hollis Brookline (video)

HOLLIS – Cassidy Loughman scored five goals to help the Hanover High School girls lacrosse team get a 17-7 win Monday over Hollis Brookline.

Loughman also had two assists while Maeve Bradley added four goals and an assist and Joia Collins had two goals and three assists for the Bears (5-3).

Clare Higgins and Sally Gaughan each scored two goals while Casey Wilkinson had a goal and an assist and Lexi Fox also scored for Hanover.

HB (2-3) got two goals apiece from Cece Dufoe and Elise Broadhurst while Hayden McElveen, Jayne Kump and Olivia Laub added a goal apiece. Anne Kinney also had an assist Lilly Hamilton made seven saves.

With the game tied 2-2 going into the second quarter, Hanover went on a 7-1 run to break the game open.

No. 4 Pinkerton 9, No. 3 Exeter 8

Rylee Robinson and Sookie Folsom each scored three goals to help the Astros get a win over the Blue Hawks.

Francesca Doyle added two goals and an assist and Ava Michelinie had a goal and three assists for Pinkerton (5-4, No. 4 in the New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center/NHHSSports Coaches Poll). Paige Fenner finished with 11 saves.

Riley Benevides led Exeter (7-3, No. 3) with four goals and Josie Drunsic had a goal and an assist while Phoebe Christenson had two assists.

Grace McIlroy, Avery Carrigan and Claire Wilhelm added a goal each and Racquel Battle had an assist.

Merrimack 16, Manchester Memorial 0

Liv Mitchell scored five goals to help the Tomahawks get a win over the Crusaders.

Riley Taylor added four goals and an assist and Lyla Carls had a goal and four assists for Merrimack (6-2). Liz Dine had two goals and two assists and Ava Woods also scored twice and had one assist.

Izzy Callahan recorded a goal and an assist while Lily Palmer also scored. Taylor added 12 draw controls and Pascalia Ward made two saves.

St. Thomas 23, Bishop Brady 5

Talula Gregg and Charlotte De Tolla each had four goals to help lead the Saints to a win over the Giants.

Lizzy Holden and Annita Parmelee added three goals apiece, including Parmelee’s 100th career point. Sophia Kelly and Reese Foss also each had two goals and Julia Bryan, Izzy Taylor, Charlotte Kelly, Yuliana Elmoraghy and Rose Willerer scored a goal apiece for St. Thomas (5-2).

Foss and Anna Szufnarowski split time in goal, combining for four saves, while Jules Stowell and Harper Burlage played well defensively.

Pelham 15, Milford 6

Ella DeSimone had seven goals and an assist to lead the Pythons past the Spartans.

Jessica Phillips added three goals while Isabella Santolucito scored twice and Julianne Rocha had a goal and an assist for Pelham (2-3).

Brianna Wood and Mia Wilkins also had a goal apiece and Makenzie Comtois and Cassidy Harrington each had an assist while Emma Bowlan finished with 10 saves.

Derryfield 19, Campbell 5

Maddy Paolino had six goals and two assists to help the Cougars get past the Cougars.

Finley Llewellyn added scored three goals and had three assists, giving her 100 points for her career, while Reagan Ayers also had three goals and an assist for Derryfield (5-2).

Charlotte Belanger had two goals, two assists, four draw controls and three groundballs while Kelsi Bremberg also scored twice. Bella Gardner, Lila Hanning (three groundballs) and Titi Latinwo had a goal apiece.

Chloe Larson had five groundballs and three draw controls and Noelanni Hunter made eight saves.

No. 2 Souhegan 20, Manchester Central-West 0

The Sabers got three goals and an assist from Izzy Stevenson and Meredith Heimark on the way to a win over Central-West.

Libby Kennedy added two goals and two assists and Lanai Hickman scored a goal and had three assists for Souhegan (6-1). Emmie Curran also had two goals and an assist while Averie Curran and Haley Christianson had a goal and an assist apiece.

Eva Stiles, Sophie Jacobs, Abbey Gray, Maddy Behn, Madeline Howe, Emilia Koch and Gwen Allen also had a goal each.

No. 9 Timberlane 20, Spaulding 9

Lila Fitzgeraldn had five goals and two assists to help the Owls get a win over the Red Raiders.

Aubrey Fitzgerald added three goals and three assists while Ava Paul had a goal and three assists for Timberlane (7-1). Rylee Donahue score two goals and had an assist while Grace Gerhard and Julia Johnson had two goals apiece.

Kasey Fitzgerald and Hannah Ahern also had a goal each and Alexa Ring added an assist while Mackenzie Laschi, Kayla Geary and Elle Sarcione played well defensively.

No. 6 Londonderry 14, Dover 4

Summer Butler scored five goals for the Lancers as they picked up a win over the Green Wave.

Lexi Padykula had four goals and Eres Delorey finished with three goals, an assist and five draw controls for Londonderry (5-3). Molly Connors and Core Rogers had a goal apiece while Addison Doyle had two assists and three draw controls.

Bow 19, Kearsarge 0

The Falcons (5-0) got the win behind five-goal days from Jules Cusson and Josie Johnson. Chloe Nowakowski also had four goals and two assists.

Stella Syvertsen finished with eight saves for the Cougars (1-4).

Concord Christian 16, Belmont 6

Brooke Varnum had two goals and an assist for the Red Raiders but they fell to the Kingsmen (2-4).

Brooke Murphy also had two goals and Daylan Henry had a goal and two assists for Belmont (1-4). Ava Damon also picked up an assist while Shelby Mason made 22 saves.

Kira Perry, Grace Collins, Morgan Schofield and Reese Paquette played well defensivley for the Red Raiders.

No. 1 Portsmouth 18, No. 10 Nashua South 1

Carly Benzekri scored the only goal of the game for the Panthers as they fell to the Clippers.

Molly Mullaney had an assist on the goal for South (6-2) and Emma Herlihy made eight saves. Karina Santana, Bella Hwalek, Maddie Langer, Nitzann Alkalay, Hailey Cote and Nicole DeJesus played well for the Panthers.
