Girls Lacrosse Roundup: Bradley’s OT goal lifts Hanover past Bedford (video)
Here are results from Tuesday’s high school girls lacrosse action.
BEDFORD – Maeve Bradley scored with just over a minute left in overtime to help the Hanover High School girls lacrosse team to a 14-13 win Tuesday over Bedford.
The Bears (8-3 in Division II) trailed 8-4 at halftime and 10-6 in the third quarter before a 6-0 run helped them take a 12-10 lead. The Bulldogs (6-5 in D1, No. 8 in the New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center/NHHSSports Coaches Poll) came back twice to tie the game, forcing overtime on a goal by Mary Lenti with exactly a minute remaining.
Bedford won the draw to start overtime but a turnover gave Hanover a chance for the win.
Bradley had six goals for the Bears and Cassidy Loughman added four goals while Casey Wilkinson scored twice and Iris Chesnut and Lexi Fox had a goal apiece.
The Bulldogs got five goals and an assist from Elois Montagano, including the 100th goal of her high school career, while Paige Gibson added three goals and two assists. Liza Montagano (one assist) and Lenti each had two goals while Anna Rodgers also scored.
John Stark 16, Concord Christian 4
Claudia Dustin had four goals and three assists, including her 100th career point, to help the Generals get a win over the Kingsmen.
Zoe Lawson added four goals and two assists and Kora Beard also scored four times for John Stark (7-2). Aislyn Smith had two goals and an assist while Natalie Dingman and Addy Brunini had a goal apiece.
Rowin Ledy finished with nine saves.
Belmont 14, Campbell 9
The Red Raiders picked up their second win of the season, the most in program history, by beating the Cougars.
Brooke Varnum, Daylan Henry, Brooke Murphy (one assist) and Madi McClennan (two) had three goals apiece for Belmont (2-7) while Gabby Murphy added two goals.
Shelby Mason made 18 saves in goal while Augusta Provencale, Grace Collins, Morgan Schofield, Reese Paquette and Kira Perry played well defensively.
