The Salem High School football team found itself in almost identical situations on its first offensive drive of each half Saturday against Windham.

On the game’s opening drive, the Blue Devils ended up with a first-and-goal from the Jaguars’ 1-yard line. In the second half, after forcing a punt on Windham’s first possession, Salem found itself with another goal-to-go situation, this time from the 10.

But Salem’s decision making on each drive, and the result, ended up being a bit different in its 17-7 win over the Jaguars.
