PENACOOK – Buddy Eddy had a hand in all three touchdowns Saturday, as the Merrimack Valley High School football team defeated John Stark 20-6 in a Division II contest.
Eddy ran for two touchdowns and connected with Matt Sanborn for another, as the Pride (2-2) came back from an early deficit to get the win. The quarterback finished with 44 yards rushing and was 2 of 8 passing for a score and an interception.
Reece Clermont had 72 yards on the ground and Nicholas Debello added 56 yards. Sanborn caught two passes for 23 and a touchdown and also had a 13-yard completion to Clermont.
Joey Dykstra had the lone touchdown for John Stark (0-4), as the Generals took the opening kickoff and went 80 yards in 10 plays, with the sophomore scoring from 3 yards out. Bryron Parrish led John Stark with 79 yards on the ground while Andrew Tower had 37 yards and Deltyn Williams had 35.
