LONDONDERRY – The ball sometimes takes a funny bounce on a grass field, so when a penalty corner looks the way its supposed to, it’s key to take advantage.
That’s just what Taylor Guibord did.
Midway through overtime Wednesday against Londonderry, Guibord and Sophie Bilodeau tried to run a give-and-goal on a corner, and despite the speed of the play not looking like it does on turf, the ball made its way to Guibord.
The senior didn’t hesitate, putting the ball into the back of the cage with 4:57 left in the OT to give the Cardinals a 3-2 win over the Lancers in a Division I game.
