HOLLIS – Of all the photos shared Wednesday night of the seniors on the Hollis Brookline High School girls volleyball, the one that stood out the most to Becky Balfour was from a while ago.
Mixed in the collage of pictures was a group shot of the seniors from when they played together long before high school. They’ve played alongside one another for a long time, and many of them have been a big part of the Cavaliers’ championship run of the last four years.
That experience was on display again against Nashua North, as HB weathered two close games to open the match with the Titans and took control of the third one early for a 3-0 win in the Cavs’ final home match of the Division I regular season. The win also extends HB’s winning streak to 71 straight matches.
