Hollis/Brookline battles for win over Con-Val
The Hollis/Brookline High School boys tennis team picked up its second win in as many days, beating Con-Val 8-1 on Thursday in a Division II match.

The Hollis/Brookline High School boys tennis team picked up its second win in as many days, beating Con-Val 8-1 on Thursday in a Division II match.
Although the Cavaliers took eight of the nine matches, many were highly contested, including the No. 1 singles match.
The Cougars (0-2) got their lone win of the afternoon their, as Con-Val’s William Vaillancourt defeated Corbin Tulley 9-7. At No. 2, H/B’s Matt Kozsan took out Cam Walton 8-6, and Ryan Connell was an 8-4 winner over Jason Garland at No. 3.
H/B’s Jonathan Gual got past Parker Wheeler at No. 4, 8-2, and teammate Sam Mangano topped Will Stinson, 8-2, at No. 5. The Cavs (2-0) also got a win at No. 6 from Gaetan Ciot, who defeated Ben Wescott 8-5.
Tulley and Kozsan teamed up to defeat Vaillancourt and Walton 8-5 in the No. 1 doubles match and Connell and Gual took the No. 2 match 8-4 over Garland and Wescott. Mangano and Ciot also won at No. 3 for H/B, beating Isiah Clagget-Singlton and Jeff Lent 8-2.
H/B travels Monday to face Windham, which is coming off a 5-4 win over last year’s runner-up Pelham.
