Two teams made a jump in this week’s NHHSSports Field Hockey Coaches Poll, with one of them joining the top five for the first time.
Two teams made a jump in this week’s NHHSSports Field Hockey Coaches Poll, with one of them joining the top five for the first time.
John Stark moved up one spot to No. 3 in the poll, matching its highest point of last year, when it finished the 2022 season in the same spot. Meanwhile, Bishop Guertin made the biggest jump of the year, so far, moving up four spots to No. 5.
Windham widened its lead over Dover for the No. 1 spot, once against getting seven first-place votes to remain there for the third week in a row. The Green Wave received five first-place votes for the second straight week and held on to the No. 2 spot.
John Stark traded places with Exeter, which dropped one spot to No. 4, while the Cardinals bumped Winnacunnet out of the top five for the first time this season. Pinkerton remained at No. 6, where it has been for every poll this season.
The Warriors, who snapped a three-game skid with last week’s win over Exeter, came in at No. 7 while Kennett remained at No. 8. Oyster River dropped two spots to No. 9 and Souhegan, which dropped out of the poll last week for the first time, returned at No. 10, bumping out Concord.
