BEDFORD – The Londonderry High School boys lacrosse team had nine days in between games to work on everything it needed to to be ready for the postseason.
The Lancers also used that time to believe.
After hanging with Bedford for three quarters in the team’s regular-season meeting, Londonderry fell flat in the fourth quarter as the Bulldogs ran away with a five-goal victory.
In Saturday’s quarterfinal, it was No. 5 Londonderry’s turn to own the fourth, as the Lancers rallied from a four-goal deficit with a 5-0 run and knocked off No. 4 Bedford 10-9 to advance to the Division I semifinals for the first time since 2013. Londonderry will face No. 1 Bishop Guertin, which beat No. 8 Hanover 20-1 on Saturday, at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday at Bill Ball Stadium in Exeter.
