PORTSMOUTH - No adjustments or special plays were going to help the Londonderry High School girls basketball team in Monday's Division I semifinal against Bedford. There were only two things the Lancers could fall back on if they were going to overcome a double-digit deficit: trust and tenacity.

PORTSMOUTH – No adjustments or special plays were going to help the Londonderry High School girls basketball team in Monday’s Division I semifinal against Bedford.

There were only two things the Lancers could fall back on if they were going to overcome a double-digit deficit: trust and tenacity. 

Londonderry coach Jon Doherty trusted that senior Sammie Sullivan could play the final 12:36 of the game with four fouls. The tenacity came once the fourth quarter started, with the Lancers trailing by 11 points, and last all the way to the final buzzer.
