Manchester Central boys soccer overcomes slow start to beat Merrimack

The Manchester Central High School boys soccer team fell behind early, but came back to beat Merrimack 3-1 on Tuesday.

After Merrimack scored in the first five minutes of the game, Central (10-2-2) tied it when Zach Elliott dribbled to the endline, cut back and crossed to the goal, where Josue Assantha was waiting to make it 1-1. The Little Green had two goals waved off on offsides calls, but just before halftime, Nadal Almaree scored off a feed from Elliott to give Central a 2-1 lead.

Elliott found the back of the net in the second half, making it 3-1 as he scored off a pass from Benny Tamzarian.
