Jack McCann had just made the biggest defensive play of his high school football career, and moments later, he almost made the worst tackle.
The Winnacunnet High School football team was driving, looking for the go-ahead score against Exeter in last weekend’s Division I semifinals. That the Warriors were even in that position was thanks to an interception by McCann near midfield, and just a few plays later, the offense was deep in Blue Hawks’ territory.
The ball went to Tucker McCann, Jack’s brother, who was looking for a lane to run.
