Merrimack, Concord boys soccer play to a 1-1 tie (video)

CONCORD – Two undefeated high school boys soccer teams met on Tuesday, and both left the same way.

Merrimack and Concord played to a 1-1 tie at Memorial Field, as both scored seven minutes apart in the second half, but neither could break through during the other 93 minutes of soccer.

Concord’s Ngongo Mungeta opened the scoring, heading in a throw-in by Dylan Thompson in the 57th minute, and Merrimack’s Ethan Harrington answered in the 64th minute, scoring off an assist by Devin Kachmar.

Ryan Gonzalez made 14 saves for Merrimack (5-0-1), while Cass Paker and Thompson, who played in goal in the two overtimes, combined for three saves for Concord (3-0-3).
