The Merrimack High School boys hockey team bounced back from its first Division II loss of the season by beating Dover 5-3 Friday afternoon.
The Tomahawks, who suffered their first loss Thursday in a 1-0 shutout against Oyster River, got two goals in the first period from Connor Powell before he received a game misconduct near the end of the second. David Downie added a goal in the first to make it 3-0 Merrimack (12-1) and Marcus Poudrette made it 4-0 in the second period.
After Dover (8-4) made it 4-2 before the second intermission, Merrimack’s Eric Glendye scored a shorthanded goal in the third period. Brett Glendye made 30 saves in net for Merrimack, which travels to Keene on Saturday for its third road game in three days.
