Milford girls soccer knocks off Hanover in OT

Morgan Andrews scored two goals and assisted on the game-winner in overtime to lead the Milford High School girls soccer team to a 3-2 win over Hanover Saturday.

Rylee Bailey scored for the Spartans (9-4-1-) in overtime, converting crossing pass from Andrews, while goaltender Alex Hiley came up big to keep the game close.

Hanover (10-2-1) led 1-0 until midway through the second half, when Andrews tied the game off a pass from Kendra Bonzcar. But the Marauders came right back less than a minute later to regain the lead, 2-1.

With under two minutes to play, Milford’s Dina Pitsas sent an indirect kick to Andrews, who tied the game at 2-2.

Christina Vlachos, Jonna Gath and Morgan Stevens also all played well for the Spartans.
