Milford girls volleyball picks up win over Souhegan

MILFORD – The Milford High School girls volleyball team overcame a slow start Monday to win Game 3 and 4 and defeat Souhegan 3-1 in a Division II match.

Olivia Rougeau led the Spartans (6-1) with 10 kills, while Amanda Alcox had 14 digs and Jess Leach had three aces and 14 digs. Milford also got 18 assists and 12 digs from Abby Blanchet.

Milford trailed for most of the first game, but rallied late for a 26-24 win before falling to the Sabers (2-2) in the second game 25-16. The Spartans bounced back to cruise to a Game 3 win, 25-9, and took Game 4 25-19.

Souhegan was led by KK Knapp, who had seven kills, and Ella Garvey had four kills.
