Multi-sport all-stars finishing out high school only way know how

The Merrimack High School boys lacrosse team got a quarterfinal win on the road against Bedford on the first Saturday night of June.
The game went into overtime, and despite the close proximity of the schools, it’s likely the Merrimack players and coaches didn’t get back to the high school until some time after 10 p.m. that night.
But when Tomahawks football coach Kip Jackson got to the school early the following morning, he saw someone he didn’t expect to see.
“I had something to do at the high school at 9 o’clock (Sunday morning),” Jackson said. “I drove in and (Reimello Hyde) was already on the field doing football drills.”
It wasn’t going to be the only time that Hyde, who had just helped the Tomahawks to the biggest lacrosse win in school history, was going to be switching back and forth from one sport to the other in June.
As a graduating senior, Hyde was selected to play for the West team in the CHaD NH East-West All-Star Football game on June 23, and he was picked to represent New Hampshire in the Twin State Boys Lacrosse game the following day.
“I think it’s a great opportunity for me to go play two all-star games,” Hyde said of the opportunity to play in both games. “It’s super fun. You work out all the time, it’s not that big of a deal (playing back-to-back). I didn’t get super sore this week.”
Hyde was one of two players who played in the football and lacrosse games, along with Portsmouth’s Gunner Jackson, who suited up for the East all-stars before joining Hyde on New Hampshire’s defense.
“I was pretty good,” Jackson said. “Lacrosse ended only two weeks ago, so I think I was pretty fresh with the stick. I think having football for the last week got my legs going and got me ready for the games.”

There were also a handful of multi-sport all-stars playing in the Twin State Girls Lacrosse game.
Alex Larrabee (Bow), Charlotte Marston (Portsmouth) and Eliana Enners (Bedford) took part in the Twin State Field Hockey game on June 23, with Enners scoring a goal and Marston getting two assists in New Hampshire’s 4-0 win over Vermont. The trio stayed at Larrabee’s home in Bow overnight and returned to Hanover High School the next day to play in the girls lacrosse game.
“It was awesome, especially with field hockey, not playing in college,” Larrabee said. “It will probably be one of my last times touching a field hockey stick. It was a little odd, too, because I haven’t played since November, but it was really good to get back out there and represent my state. I know so many of the girls and it’s so fun.”
For Larrabee and Marston, it was a preview of what’s to come, as they’ll both move on to play lacrosse at Colgate University.
“We have practiced together a little bit but never really played in a game together,” Marston said. “I think the first time we played in a game together was the Under Armor game a few years ago, but that was before we knew we were going to Colgate. Now we’ve become better friends and that friendship off the field will translate into what we do on the field.”
Enners will also continue playing lacrosse next year at Embry Riddle University, while Hyde is going to play football at Franklin Pierce University.
Jackson is heading to the University of New Hampshire, where he hopes he’ll be able to play on the Wildcats’ club team.
“I’m going to try out for that,” he said. “I’m looking forward to it. I know they travel all across the country, so if I do make the team, it will be a great experience. I can’t wait to try out. “
