Sena Oran also had a goal for the Panthers, who improved to 4-2 in Division I with the win. The Owls dropped to 3-3.
Emily Durette and Megan Snyder each had an assist for South, while Adaeze Obinelo made seven saves. Timberlane got its lone goal from Alicia Ross, while Emily Barrett made 10 saves.
The Panthers will take on Concord on Monday at 4 p.m.
