Bishop Guertin remained in the top spot for the 29th week in a row, however, Exeter was able to pluck away a first-place vote from the Cardinals. It’s the first time since Week 4 of 2022 that a team other then Bishop Guertin has received a vote for the top spot.

The Cardinals received the other 17 first-place votes and have a big week on tap. After playing Salem on Monday, Bishop Guertin will take on St. John’s Prep, of Danvers, Mass., Tuesday at Merrimack College and then will host Staples, from Westport, Conn., Saturday at Stellos Stadium.
Exeter, which opened the season with a win over Lincoln-Sudbury (Mass.), moved up one spot to No. 2 this week. The Blue Hawks will host Chelmsford (Mass.) on Wednesday and then go to Pinkerton on Friday.
Derryfield and Bedford came in tied for the No. 3 spot, after finishing at Nos. 2 and 4, respectively, last week. The Cougars travel to Kennett on Monday, host Souhegan on Wednesday and then head to St. Thomas on Friday, while the Bulldogs host Pinkerton on Monday and Lexington (Mass.) on Wednesday.
Pinkerton rounds out the top five, holding on to that spot for the second week in a row heading into games against Bedford and Exeter. Portsmouth remained at No. 6, with the Clippers heading to Timberlane on Tuesday and then host Goffstown on Friday.
The Owls remained at No. 7, and along with hosting Portsmouth, they’ll play at Hollis Brookline on Friday. St. Thomas and Londonderry switched spots, with the Saints moving up to No. 8. They’ll host Winnacunnet on Monday, along with hosting Derryfield on Friday.
The Lancers came in at No. 9 going into Monday’s game at Merrimack. Londonderry will also play two out-of-state games this week, hosting Framingham (Mass.) on Wednesday and Central Catholic, of Lawrence, Mass., on Friday. Merrimack moved into the 10th spot, replacing Windham; the Tomahawks will also play at Concord on Friday.
