NHHSSports Football Performances of the Week (Oct. 28)

Every week during the football season, on the Ninth State Sports Show podcast, Joe Marchilena and Mike Lochman will each select a Player and a Team of the Week from the previous weekend’s performances.

Here are the selections for Week 8:

Player of the Week

• Mike’s Pick: Brady O’Connor, Nashua North. In a must-win for the Titans to keep their playoff hopes alive, the junior was 9 of 14 passing for 383 yards and four touchdowns, three of which went for 70-plus yads, in a 41-7 win over Keene.
• Joe’s Pick: Gio Doria, Manchester West. The senior completed 12 of 14 passes for 309 yards and three touchdowns to help lead the Blue Knights to a 44-6 win over John Stark.

Team of the Week

• Mike’s Pick: Alvirne. The Broncos kept their playoff hopes alive with a 28-21 win against Dover, scoring the go-ahead touchdown with 16 seconds left.
• Joe’s Pick: Salem. The Blue Devils rallied from a two-touchdown deficit to get a 37-35 win over Winnacunnet on Ryan Bryant’s 22-yard field goal with two seconds remaining.
