Here are the selections for Week 3:
Player of the Week
- Mike’s Pick: Ben Valenti, Plymouth. The junior had a huge game in the Bobcats’ 48-10 win over Trinity, rushing for 308 yards and three touchdowns to help Plymouth improve to 3-0 in Division II.
- Joe’s Pick: Kevin Todisco, Salem. The senior made the most of his nine carries against Dover, rushing for 215 yards and five touchdowns in the first half of a 63-13 win. It was Salem’s first victory of the year after an 0-2 start.
Team of the Week
- Mike’s Pick: Farmington-Nute. The Tigers got a 14-13 overtime win against Bishop Brady last Saturday for their first win of the season. It was the second game back as a varsity program for Farmington-Nute since 2019 and the first win since October of 2018.
- Joe’s Pick: Alvirne. The Broncos beat Timberlane 48-20 to improve to 3-0 for the first time since 2004. Alvirne did it on both sides of the ball, forcing four turnovers, including a pick-6 by Quintin Tetreault, while Mike Landmesser ran for five touchdowns.
