Not much change in this week’s NHHSSports Football Coaches Poll

The football regular season has just two weeks remaining and most of the top 10 seems to be locked into its position through the first seven games.

Bedford was again a unanimous selection for the top spot in this week’s NHHSSports Football Coaches Poll; the Bulldogs received all 14 first-place votes. Bedford, which shutout Portsmouth-Oyster River last week, will take on Nashua South on Friday night.

Exeter remained at No. 2 following its close win over Manchester Memorial, and the Blue Hawks will go out of state to play at Portland on Friday. Pinkerton remained at No. 3 after its win over Manchester Central, with the Astros set to host Concord, also on Friday.

Londondery, which defeated Nashua North last week, held on to the fourth spot in the poll, with Windham coming to town on Friday. Nashua South once again rounded out the top five, after the Panthers defeated Merrimack.

After its win over Windham, Salem remained in the No. 6 spot and the Blue Devils will host Bishop Guertin Saturday afternoon at Alumni Stadium in Haverhill, Mass. Plymouth held on at No. 7 after its overtime win against Souhegan; the Bobcats will Merrimack Valley on Saturday.

Alvirne moved up two spots to come in at No. 8 following its win over Concord last week and the Broncos will host Keene on Friday. Souhegan dropped a spot to ninth after suffering its first loss; the Sabers will host Pelham on Friday.

Memorial, despite its loss to Exeter, moved back in at No. 10 this week. The Crusaders will host Winnacunnet on Saturday.

Here is this week’s NHHSSports Football Coaches Poll. These are the top 10 football teams in the state, with record, first-place votes/points (T=tie) and last week’s ranking.
