Oyster River girls track claims 4th D2 indoor championship in a row

Olivia Kavanagh had a hand in three first-place finishes to help lead the Oyster River High School girls track team to its fourth-straight Division II championship on Sunday at Plymouth State University.

Kavanagh won the 1,500- and 3,000-meter runs while also helping the 4×800-meter relay team to a first-place finish, in a race that was held on Feb. 1 at the University of New Hampshire.

Madelyn Cook also won the 1,000-meter run for Oyster River while Gilford’s Macy Sawyer won the 55- and 300-meter dashes and helped the Golden Eagles win the 4×400-meter relay.

Oyster River scored 68 points to finish first, with Coe-Brown coming in second with 51 points and Gilford third with 46. Hollis Brookline (39) took fourth and Souhegan (29) rounded out the top five.

Here are the top six finishers in each event. The 4×800 and the high jump were held at UNH on Feb. 1, all other events were held Sunday at PSU.
