Pelham bests Souhegan in doubles

The Souhegan High School boys tennis team was tied with Pelham heading into the doubles matches, but the Pythons won two of three to win 5-4 Monday.
Souhegan’s Matt Protzmann won the No. 3 singles match, beating Ethan Ely 8-3, and David Monleon won the No. 5 match, knocking off Adam Duff-Marsh 8-3. Souhegan (5-3) also got a win from Ben Bacher at No. 6, 8-1 over Ben Harris.
Pelham got a win at No. 1, as Matt Smith beat Nick Poulack 8-3, and Jarred Taylor won the No. 2 match, winning 8-1 over Liam Muprhy. Gabe Ramos defeated Nate Redington, 8-5, in the No. 4 match.
Smith and Taylor won the No. 1 doubles match 8-2 over Poulack and Redington and Ely and Ramos took the No. 2 match, beating Murphy and Protzmann 8-2. Bacher and Jason Emmond took the No. 3 match, 9-7, over Duff-Marsh and Harris.
