MANCHESTER – When Nayeli Perez got the ball in the final seconds, there was no thought about anything that had happened in the previous 31-plus minutes of the game.
All the Trinity High School sophomore was thinking about was getting a win for teammate Addison Moynihan on the Pioneers’ girls basketball senior night.
Perez dribbled herself open against Windham’s zone, and with about 10 seconds left, let go a 3-pointer that found nothing but net to put Trinity up one, and the Pioneers forced the Jaguars into a tough shot on the final possession to hang on for a 37-37 win Wednesday night in a Division I contest.
