Coming off a 20-7 win over Bedford on Friday, the Astros knocked the Bulldogs out of the No. 2 spot they’ve held all season, the first time Pinkerton has been ranked that high since the final poll of 2023.
Bishop Guertin is the top pick once again, getting all 14 first-place votes, and the Cardinals will begin their quest for a fifth-straight Division I title in the quarterfinals Saturday against Concord. Pinkerton, which earned the top seed in D1, will host either Dover or Nashua South, also in the quarterfinals on Saturday.
Bedford dropped to No. 3 in the poll and in the D1 standings and the Bulldogs will open the playoffs by hosting Londonderry in the quarterfinals Saturday. Exeter remained at No. 4 and will host Merrimack on Saturday.
Derryfield, which finished the regular season undefeated, held on to the No. 5 spot and will be the top seed in D2. The Cougars will host either Oyster River-Newmarket or Merrimack Valley in the quarterfinals on Saturday.
Portsmouth is at No. 6 again this week, and the Clippers are also the sixth seed in D2, as they’ll play at Timberlane in the quarterfinals on Saturday. Winnacunnet moved back up to No. 7, and as the No. 2 seed in D2, will host either Goffstown or Hanover in the quarterfinals on Saturday.
Londonderry dropped back down to eighth and the Lancers will be the sixth seed in D1. Merrimack stayed at No. 9 this week and will be the No. 5 seed in the D1 playoffs.
Hollis Brookline moved into the poll for the first time this season, coming in at No. 10. The Cavaliers are the four seed in D2 and will host St. Thomas on Saturday.

The coaches poll is voted on by coaches from all three divisions, as well as members of the media. This will be the last poll until the final one on June 16.
