After a couple of weeks down a spot, the Pinkerton Academy girls lacrosse team moved back up to third overall in this week’s New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center/NHHSSports Coaches Poll.

The Astros were at No. 3 for the first two weeks of the year, but dropped to fourth for the next two, before trading places with Exeter this week. Portsmouth was once again at No. 1, receiving nine first-place votes, as the Clippers play just one game this week, on Thursday, when they host Bishop Guertin.

Souhegan remained at No. 2, with games at Nashua South on Monday and at Exeter on Friday. Now at No. 3, Pinkerton will host Bishop Guertin on Monday and the play at Windham on Friday, while Exeter, now at No. 4, goes to Londonderry on Monday and then host Kennebunk (Maine) on Wednesday before the matchup with the Sabers.

The Cardinals round out the top five for the second week in a row, with the previously-mentioned road games at Pinkerton and Portsmouth this week.

Winnacunnet and Londonderry also traded places this week, with the Warriors moving up to No. 6 and the Lancers going down to No. 7. The two teams will meet in Londonderry on Thursday, while Winnacunnet also plays at Alvirne on Monday and against Merrimack Valley on Wednesday, and the Lancers have their game with Exeter and go to Manchester Central-West on Friday.

Bedford remained at No. 8, with home games against Hanover (Tuesday) and Salem (Friday) coming up, while Timberlane held on to the ninth spot, with games at Goffstown on Wednesday and home to Alvirne on Thursday. Nashua South finished out the top 10 again this week, with the Panthers hosting Souhegan on Monday and Hollis Brookline on Wednesday before going to Dover on Friday.
