It’s the highest ranking this season for the Astros, as the final week of the regular season gets underway. Portsmouth had held the spot until last week, when Souhegan moved into a tie with the Clippers.
Bishop Guertin remained the unanimous choice at No. 1, and the Cardinals will finish out the year with road games at Notre Dame Academy, from Hingham, Mass., on Monday and at Salem on Tuesday. Bedford was the consensus pick at No. 2, with the Bulldogs playing this week on the road against Manchester Central on Monday and Newburyport (Mass.) on Wednesday.
After moving up, the Astros will finish their regular season by hosting Nashua South on Monday. Souhegan came in at No. 4 this week and will play at Nashua North on Tuesday before a big crossover game at Portsmouth on Wednesday. The Clippers, who round out the top five, also host Timberlane on Monday and head to Alvirne on Thursday.
Hollis Brookline, which held on to the sixth spot, hosts Manchester Memorial-West on Wednesday and travels to Goffstown on Friday. South stayed at No. 7, and after facing Pinkerton, will go to Londonderry on Wednesday and play at Keene-Monadnock on Friday.
Windham remained at No. 8 and wraps up the regular season by hosting ConVal on Monday and going to Pembroke on Thursday. Hanover and Bow finished tied for the ninth spot. The Bears will host Winnacunnet on Tuesday before heading to Memorial-West on Friday, while the Falcons finish the season at Trinity on Monday.
