Playoff Roundup: Bishop Guertin, Concord advance in D1 field hockey playoffs
Here are results from Wednesday’s Division I playoff action.
NASHUA – Addison Daddona scored six goals and had an assist to help the eighth-seeded Bishop Guertin High School field hockey team to a 9-2 win over No. 9 Timberlane on Wednesday in the Division I preliminary round.
Daddona assisted on a goal by Sophie Bilodeau just 20 seconds into the game and the Cardinals (12-4-1) led 4-0 after one quarter. Emily Vinciguerra had a goal and three assists while Maddie Harrington had a goal and an assist and Carly Green also scored.
Ayla Saeturn finished with three saves for Bishop Guertin.
Esme Johnston and Aria Lobao each had a goal in the fourth quarter for the Owls (6-11) and Lilly Clark finished with nine saves.
Bishop Guertin will move on to the quarterfinals, where it will face top-seeded Keene (15-0-1) on Saturday.

Claire Brown deflected in a shot by Nadia Hanna late in the third quarter to keep the Crimson Tide alive in the postseason.
Brooke Nelson played well in goal for Concord (13-4) to preserve the shutout, the 10th of the season for the team. The Tide will now face No. 2 Dover (13-2-1) in the D1 quarterfinals on Saturday.
