Portsmouth finishes where it started atop the New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center/NHHSSports Girls Lacrosse Coaches Poll

And for the third year in a row, the Clippers finish the season as the top team in the New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center/NHHSSports Coaches Poll. It’s the 23rd poll in a row that Portsmouth has been at the top of, as the Clippers received all seven first-place votes.
Souhegan, the runner-up in D1, came in at No. 2, the spot it held for the entire season, while Pinkerton, which lost to the Sabers in the D1 semifinals, finished out the year at No. 3. Exeter, the fourth semifinalist in D1, came in at No. 4.
Winnacunnet, the D2 champion for the second season in a row, rounded out the top five, while Londonderry, which lost in the D1 quarterfinals to Pinkerton, ended up at No. 6. Hanover moved into the poll for the first time this season, coming in at No. 7, after finishing as the runner-up in D2.
Bishop Guertin, which fell to Souhegan in the D1 quarterfinals, ended up at No. 8 while Timberlane finished at No. 9 after falling to Hanover in the D2 semifinals. St. Thomas, which won its third D3 title in a row, rounded out the top 10.

The coaches poll is voted on by girls lacrosse coaches from around the state and members of the media. This is the final poll for 2026.
