BEDFORD – The Portsmouth High School girls lacrosse team found itself in a position Wednesday night that it hadn’t experienced in almost six weeks.
Down two goals and a player with a little more than five minutes to play in the Division II championship game, it looked like the Clippers might come up short of their fourth consecutive title.
But Portsmouth scored three times in the final three minutes, including the game-winner from Charlotte Marston with 1:32 remaining, to rally for an 8-7 win over Hollis Brookline and the program’s eighth title since 2007 at Bedford High School.
