Portsmouth goes wire-to-wire at top of MerchSquared.com/NHHSSports Girls Lacrosse Coaches Poll

The Portsmouth High School girls lacrosse team is back-to-back Division I championship, along with finishing in the top spot of the MerchSquared.com/NHHSSports Coaches Poll for the second year in a row.
The Clippers received all 12 first-place votes to take the top spot in the poll for the 14th week in a row, a stretch that dates back to the middle of the 2024 season. Portsmouth won its seventh title in eight seasons overall, and the program’s 11th championship.
Souhegan, which was the runner-up in D1, came in at No. 2, switching spots with Pinkerton, who came in at No. 3 after falling to the Sabers in the semifinals.
Winnacunnet, which won the D2 title for the first time since 2007, moved up to No. 4, while Exeter, which reached the D1 semifinals for the first time since 2015, dropped one spot to No. 5. Bishop Guertin, which missed reaching the semifinals for the first time since 2014, came in at No. 6.
St. Thomas finished at No. 7 after winning its second-straight D3 title over Gilford. Nashua South dropped three spots to finish at No. 8 while Bedford moved down one to come in at No. 9.
And after reaching the D2 title game for the first time in program history, Merrimack Valley came in at No. 10, the first time the Pride have been ranked in the top 10.

The coaches poll is voted on by coaches from all three divisions, as well as members of the media. This will be the final poll of 2025.
