Portsmouth tightens hold on top spot in NHHSSports Girls Lacrosse Coaches Poll

This week, the Clippers took home all the first-place votes, the first time this season that they’ve been an unanimous choice for the top of the top 10. Bishop Guertin and Bedford were the only teams that changed spots, with the Cardinals trading Nos. 2 and 3 with the Bulldogs after last week’s head-to-head win.
Portsmouth will put its unanimous ranking on the line three times this week: at home against Merrimack on Monday, then at Central Catholic (Lawrence, Mass.) on Wednesday and home against Londonderry on Friday.
Bishop Guertin, which had been third in the poll all season before this week, will go to Dover on Monday before hosting Pinkerton on Thursday. Bedford, which had been at No. 2 for all but one week this year, travels to Exeter Monday and then host Nashua South on Friday.
Souhegan held off Pinkerton once again for No. 4, with the Astros rounding out the top five. The Sabers head to Londonderry on Monday and then host Concord on Friday, while Pinkerton goes to Andover (Mass.) on Tuesday and to Bishop Guertin on Thursday.
Winnacunnet remained at No. 6 this week and the Warriors have a busy week, hosting Alvirne (Monday), Manchester Central (Tuesday) and John Stark/Hillsboro-Deering (Wednesday) before going to Oyster River-Newmarket on Friday.
Windham stayed at No. 7 and Hollis Brookline remained at No. 8, with the two teams will square off Wednesday at Windham. The Jaguars will also go to Kingswood on Friday, while the Cavaliers host ConVal on Monday and Hanover on Friday.
Exeter came in at No. 9 and Nashua South was No. 10 for the second straight week. The Blue Hawks host Bedford on Monday before having the rest of the week off. The Panthers host Salem and Nashua North on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively, and then go to Bedford on Friday.
