Preseason Watch List announced for inaugural Yukica Football Player of the Year
For the first time this fall, the Joe Yukica New Hampshire Chapter of the National Football Foundation will give out a Player of the Year award.
For the first time this fall, the Joe Yukica New Hampshire Chapter of the National Football Foundation will give out a Player of the Year award.
The Yukica Player of the Year Award will be given to a player who is on an NHIAA team, and on Sunday, the chapter’s board of directors released its 20-player Watch List.
Following are the players on the preseason list:

- JJ Bright, RB/LB, Souhegan
- Romy Jain, QB, Souhegan
- Scott Hershberger, RB/LB, Campbell
- Caden Michaud, RB/DB, Pinkerton
- Ty Miles, OL/DL, Londonderry
- Angus Moss, WR/DB, Portsmouth-Oyster River
- Memphis Patterson, OL/DL, Pelham
- Jack Service, QB/OLB, Trinity
- Kevin Sheridan, TE/DE, Bedford
- Jeff Vidou, RB/LB, Hanover
- Joey Packowski, OL/DL, Pinkerton
- Dylan Kim, OL/DL, Windham
- Jack Schena, RB/DB, Londonderry

A total of 10 semifinalists will be announced on Nov. 2, with that list being cut down to three finalists on Nov. 16. The winner of the award will be announced on Nov. 23.
The watch list was created to help promote the award in its inaugural season. The winner may not end up being a player on the list. The award will be voted on by football coaches from all four divisions and members of the media.
