But in Tuesday’s Division III field hockey semifinal, the Bishop Brady High School sophomore knew she needed to change that.
With time ticking away in overtime, Rose took the ball away from a defender, giving her a couple of steps on her way to the goal, and beat Newport goalie Breanne Robertson to give the seventh-seeded Giants another upset in the tournament, as they took down No. 3 Newport 2-1 at Bill Ball Stadium in Exeter.
