Sabers pull out win in doubles
The Souhegan High School boys tennis team swept all three doubles matches to defeat Pelham, 6-3, on Wednesday at Pelham. In a rematch of last year’s Class I semifinal match, the Sabers and Pythons were tied going into the doubles.

Sam Protzmann and Nishon Radhakrishnan defeated Jared Taylor and Ryan Fyfe in the No. 1 doubles match, 8-4. Nick Poulack and Nate Redington took the No. 2 match, 8-3, over Matt Mercier and Ethan Ely, while Liam Murphy and Alex Paquin won the No. 2 match against Gabe Ramos and Adam Duff-Marsh, 8-6.
The teams split the singles matches, with Radhakrishnan defeated Pelham’s Fyfe at No. 2 singles, 8-5, and Nick Poulack taking the No. 3 match over Ely, 8-3. Matt Protzmann also won the No. 6 match, beating Duff-Marsh, 8-4.
Pelham’s Taylor won the No. 1 singles match over Sam Protzmann, 8-2. Mercier took the No. 4 match, 8-0, over Redington, and Ramos beat Alex Kinney, 8-4, at No. 5.
Souhegan returns to Jasper Valley on Friday to take on Hollis/Brookline.
