BEDFORD – For 12 minutes Thursday, it looked like the Bishop Guertin and Bedford high school boys lacrosse teams might combine for a couple dozen goals. 

And then, for the next eight minutes, it looked like the Cardinals might do that on their own.

Bishop Guertin went on a 6-0 run over the opening two-thirds of the second quarter to build up a lead that Bedford couldn’t overcome, and after the Bulldogs crept back in in the second half, the Cardinals put the game away for a 17-11 win in rematch of last year’s Division I championship game.
