AMHERST – There were a couple of reasons McKinley Sbordone knew that the Souhegan High School girls lacrosse team might have trouble Friday night against Londonderry.
It was not only the Sabers’ senior night, but also their third game in three days and fourth of the week, and they were without one of their leading scorers.
Oh, and one other thing – the Lancers are really good.
Souhegan managed to go on a run in the second quarter that gave the Sabers just enough separation to hold off Londonderry late for an 8-6 win in a Division I game at Calvetti Field.
